CPI Technologies is family-owned and operated and has been in business since 1963. We offer multiple lines of multifunctional products, digital and color office equipment, printers, scanners, shredders, folders, collators, and all-in-ones. CPI Technologies is also a leader in Managed Print Services (MPS) and Electronic Document Management (EDM) for your office.

Purchase plans vary based on customer needs analysis, but can include 90 days Same As Cash, true in-house leasing options, third-party leasing, and rent-to-own. We also offer short-term rentals and generous trade-in allowances.

CPI Technologies has a complete staff of more than 35 highly trained, in-house technical representatives to service equipment on-site. We also have trained operators to answer your questions and troubleshoot your equipment over the phone. Our technicians carry a generous inventory of commonly used parts to reduce turn-around time on part replacement and repairs. In addition, with our easy shipping options, your supplies can arrive at your office in no time.

Since 1963

Our History

1963
CPI Technologies was founded by Vernon S. Starks and his wife, Antonette Starks, in 1963 as a printing company. While working in the printing industry, the Starkses saw the impending process of hand-cranked mimeographs and oversized, messy printing presses becoming obsolete.
1968
Following this realization was an opportunity to enter the then experimental field of office copier sales and service, resulting in the inception of CPI Technologies at the time (1968), the copy process included a liquid process, and copiers used treated, rolled paper.
1971
Through dedication and hard work, the Starkses’ risky endeavor of opening CPI Technologies proved to be a rewarding process that created a mainstay in the area of office equipment. The incorporation of CPI Technologies took place in 1971.
1972
In 1972, we became an authorized Savin copier dealer, adding the Royal (now Konica) line.
1978
CPI Technologies’ first expansion occurred when the Pittsburg, Kansas location opened in 1978.
1982
In 1982, we complemented our product line by becoming an IBM business partner, offering IBM typewriters to customers.
1984
The next location opened in 1984 in Emporia, Kansas, with another expansion to follow in 1987 with the addition of the Joplin, Missouri office.
Growth
Vernon returned to his printing roots when the Risograph digital duplicator was added to our showcase of products. The most exciting move came about when the Springfield, Missouri location opened its doors, acting as the sole authorized Konica and Toshiba copier and facsimile dealer in the area.
1988
The accumulation of two more stores, one in Mountain Home, Arkansas (1988) and one in Bentonville, Arkansas (2000) increased the member count of the CPI Technologies family, both as employees and customers.
2006
CPI Technologies’ latest expansion occurred in 2006 with the opening of the Wichita, Kansas office. This office extends our reach into the heart of the Sunflower State.

Present

With more than 70 employees, we have formed a strong team of account representatives, technical support, and administration who have enabled CPI Technologies to be voted one of the Top 50 Office Equipment Dealers in the United States by Office Dealer magazine, multiple times.
